Lighting Designer

To work within the Lighting Design Centre team in Belgrade

The post holder will be responsible for:

• Organise and produce lighting schemes as required, to agreed deadlines, and taking full ownership of that task and balancing three principle requirements: Minimise risk to the business, minimise the time spent on the project, maximise the chance of success
• Interrogate and question project briefs both technically and commercially, taking advice as required, to ensure that all design time spent is as effective as possible
• Produce designs to satisfy the brief and prepare the project for the next stage by, for example, producing quantity schedules, technical calculations, CAD drawings, information packs and client presentations
• Effectively use all necessary software packages as a technical tool but also as a selling aid, but whilst also helping control the excessive use of calculations
• Generally work directly from the brief from a Sales Person rather than direct from a customer
• Occasional Major project client facing
• Be Fully conversant with Lighting Scheme design for a wide variety of applications with potential for Some specialism in the Channel
• Record time spent on projects/tasks as required
• Appraisal meetings with Channel Chief Lighting Engineer
• Preffered software knowledge, AutoCad, Revit, Dialux or Relux
• Languages: English and German

The ideal candidate will have a good experience and knowledge of lighting and lighting design as well as possessing excellent communication and presentation skills. You should have good time management skills and possess a basic electrical installation knowledge. You should have an excellent knowledge of lighting terminology and be fully conversant with the majority of industry product types and will be experienced in building lasting customer relationships. Candidates will have good time management skills and will be able to work to tight deadlines.
