Material Buyer (Indirect)

We are looking for MATERIAL BUYER (INDIRECT) to join our team in Niš, Serbia.

General purpose of the job: To plan, order and organize the delivery of indirect production materials based on the production needs or customers’ requirements during NPI and mass production phase.

Main duties and responsibilities: 

Materials supply management:

• Send orders/forecast/schedules for materials’ delivery to the corresponding suppliers based on the required volumes in MRO (consumables, packaging and spare parts);
• Monitor order confirmations and delivery execution for 100% conformity of the quantities and dates as well as term of delivery;
• Update ERP system daily with latest order-related information
• Organize return to the suppliers in case of logistic non-conformity;
• Create return PO in case of quality non-conformity.

Materials planning:

• Analyze the materials’ planning on weekly basis as to achieve maximum production line efficiency and minimum stock level;
• Perform stock analysis on monthly basis and take appropriate actions to meet company’s requirement on days of stock indicator.

Interaction with suppliers:

• Develop working process and relationship according to IMI requirements;
• Prepare assessment of suppliers performance according to the methodology approved;
• Apply IMI escalation procedure in case of critical for production materials.

Request for quotes and cost reduction initiatives management:

• Request for quote for a minimum of three supplier /service providers/contractors;
• Tabulate the result of the RFQ;
• Negotiate the best possible option in the terms of Incentive / rebate / FOC training / warranty & service, delivery and payment terms optimization and delivery leadtime flexibility;
• Conduct benchmark activities within the same industry/area.

Required personal and professional skills:

• Technical and/or economic university degree;
• Professional experience in logistics and supply chain;
• Intermediate Business English;
• PC literacy – SAP, MS Office;
• Negotiation/communication skills;
• Analytical thinking/ time & stress management skills.
