Material engineer assistant

Yanfeng Seating d.o.o. Kragujevac, a member of the Yanfeng group, a global automotive trim supplier, with presence on 3 continents, and in over 100 locations, is expanding its business with a greenfield investment in Serbia. We are looking for a motivated candidate, to become a core team member of our new factory in the position of:

MATERIAL ENGINEER ASSISTANT

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for sequencing production and timely delivery; issuing domestic orders & communicating with suppliers to follow up the execution status;
• Responsible for the material planning & timely adjustment according to production and inventory requirements, tracking the implementation of supplier orders and ensuring that materials meet production requirements;
• According to the customer's order requirements and the quality of suppliers, controlling the inventory of raw materials in a reasonable range, reducing the inventory of work-in-progress, and establishing lean production;
• Responsible for reasonable and timely arrangement of receiving materials and dispatching work to ensure that the production schedule can be completed as planned;
• Responsible for shipping arrangements, ensuring on-time delivery of orders, and controlling shipping costs and making monthly reports;
• Responsible for SAP bill of materials & basic setup of processing flow;
• Responsible for daily material data maintenance and regular inventory work.

General requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (VI) or above in technical area 
• 2 or more years of relevant work experience in logistics/production planning
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Pro-active & self-motivated candidate with good learning ability
• Excellent interpersonal/organizational skills with good logical thinking & planning skills
• Familiarity with lean production & SAP software would be considered an advantage
