Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Network Solutions Engineer to join our dynamic team, dedicated to designing and implementing tailored mobile network solutions for large corporate clients. This role is pivotal in supporting our sales team by providing technical expertise and innovative network designs that meet the specific needs of each client. Working with clients such as Telus, Suncor, Shell etc.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Create detailed low-level designs for both public and private mobile network implementations. Ensure that these designs meet the technical requirements and business goals of large enterprise clients.
• Technical Sales Support: Assist the sales team in technical presentations and discussions. Translate complex network engineering concepts into understandable solutions for potential clients and help address their specific pain points.
• Project Management: Coordinate with project managers and other engineers to ensure timely delivery of network implementation projects. Oversee the installation and initial troubleshooting of new network deployments.
• Client Interaction: Engage directly with clients to gather technical requirements and provide consultative support in network architecture and capabilities.
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation that supports the sales process, including design specifications, network diagrams, and implementation guides.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest technologies and advancements in mobile networking to continuously improve the solutions offered to clients.

Requirements: 

• Experience in designing private and public mobile network cell towers using on premise, VRan and Cloud RAN
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in network engineering, specifically with cellular technologies such as 5G, LTE, HSPA+/WCDMA including PHY/MAC, signaling, call processing concepts and upper layers
• Good understanding on GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, CDMA, HSPA, LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, mobile phone software architecture and telecommunication network configuration
• Preferred experience in analyzing logs, troubleshooting issues from field for UMTS/GSM CS, PS calls, LTE/5G Data calls, metric test is plus. Experience with specific logging/analysis tools such as QXDM, QPST, Shannon DM, XCAL, XCAP
• Experience with Transport Layer protocols such as TCP, UDP, and analysis tools such as Wireshark
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) is essential for creating the test reports.
• Knowledge of general network protocol, as well as wireless Technology – 5G, LTE, GSM, CDMA
• Understanding of TCP/UDP, IP Packet, OSI Protocol Model
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing both public and private mobile networks
• Proficiency in network simulation and modeling tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills, capability of effectively articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and oversee network deployments
