DragonMedia.io is seeking a talented PHP Developer to join our in-house team in Belgrade. DragonMedia operates a global operation of a digital, performance-led, team of digital marketing specialists who are looking to expand in-house creatives across the globe.

The role will be led by an in-house Technical Lead, where you will be expected to be able to work as a team and independently.

What you will do:

  • Work on creating and supporting modern custom WordPress themes which are mostly based on Sage (https://roots.io/sage/)
  • Work on providing properly optimized content-rich websites that are easily indexed by search engines.
    Ensure maintainability of the solution as well as blazing fast performance.

You need to have:

  • 2+ years of working experience as a PHP developer, with WordPress and at least one PHP framework like Laravel, Symfony, or Zend.
  • Relevant knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+, jQuery)
  • Experience using modern WordPress development (Bedrock, Sage, Composer, writing own plugins, custom Gutenberg blocks, ACF Pro, using WP-CLI's and WP-REST-API)
  • Extensive knowledge in MySQL or MariaDB.
  • Ability to follow basic principles like SOLID and DRY
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of OOP design patterns.
  • Experience with Git and GitFlow
  • Experience applying technical SEO best practices.
  • Good communication skills, fluent English.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Knowledge of Linux, Nginx, Docker
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools
  • Experience working with high traffic applications
  • Experience with Jira

Compensation:
