Payroll Specialist

Job description:

• Administer end to end payroll process on a weekly and monthly schedule 
• Calculation of tax and social security contributions for other various payments for individuals and preparation of their tax return 
• Optimization of salary costs according to client’s requirements
• Creating annual reports, as well as, special reporting packages according to client's specific requirements
• Coordinates with client’s HR department to ensure employee records are accurate
• Communication tax authorities, auditors, banks - oral and written in Serbian and English
• Preparation and submission of all relevant tax returns
• Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes
• Assist in establishing payroll procedures and guidelines as well as troubleshooting payroll problems
• Assists with the monthly financial reporting requirements including journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
• Assists with month end closing procedures
• Provides financial data and analysis
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Requirements:

• University degree (level VI or VII);
• Minimum of 2 years experience with end-to-end payroll processing including experience with a consulting company;
• Strong understanding of payroll processes;
• Thorough knowledge of payroll related state, legal, tax, and compliance requirement;
• Advanced Excel experience (pivot tables and lookups) required
• Fluent in English (writing and conversational, level B1, or higher);
• Knowledge of ABSoft is an advantage;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
