Philanthropy Analyst and Verification Assistant

Catalyst Balkans is a regional nonprofit that provides data and tech for other nonprofits and companies to help them do more good in their communities.

With our tools – Giving Balkans philanthropy insights app, CiviCatalyst community management platform, Donacije.rs crowdfunding platform and Proaktor.org eLearning platform – we’re changing the way nonprofits and CSR departments work. We are helping them make more informed and better decisions and have a greater social impact in their communities.

Now we are looking for a Philanthropy Analyst and Verification Assistant with the skills and passion to join our Data Hub.

What Are We Looking For?

Required skills:

• Education in Social Sciences – degree or undergraduate student.
• Extensive internet research skills.
• Data collecting.
• Analytical skills and ability to manage data in excel spreadsheets.
• Curiosity and ability to apply critical thinking.
• Excellent knowledge of English language and demonstrated oral / written communication skills (both in English and Serbian).
• Assertiveness.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Accuracy, detail-oriented, ability to work on deadlines.
• Readiness to learn and develop.
• Ability to work independently as well as within the team.

Bonus skills:

• Previous data research and gathering experience.
• Familiarity with the nonprofit sector.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Research and gathering information on philanthropy
• Data analytics based on the set methodology
• Data entry and data verification
• Work in the database and CRM platform
• Various short narrative inputs
• Communication with stakeholders: email correspondence and telephone communication
• Cooperation with other teams and participation i other projects
