Your job specification

• Technical responsibility in the project during project lifetime
• Product understanding – electrical motor design, production technologies, material understanding, designing experience
• Steering the development of drives/systems
• Methodical brainstorming, schematics, drafts, calculation, and simulation of key properties with the involvement of specialists, design of load, tolerance, and production-compliant components, design, prototype creation, validation tests
• Development of solution approaches for products and processes including alternative concepts – including the use of new technologies including a comparison of advantages and disadvantages
• Collaboration in analyzing the cost development of components and deriving measures for permanent cost reduction and their implementation
• Collaboration in the methodical analysis of complex interactions with products and systems
• Defining and releasing the contents of technical documents, taking into account the results of the departments involved (e.g. testing, production planning)
• Coordinating the activities of external development partners / suppliers in consultation with the superior/designer responsible for the project (task definition, quality assurance of results)
• Collaboration in creating and maintaining design FMEAs / process FMEAs / interface FMEAs

Your profile

• Successfully completed technical Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, e.g. mechatronics, electrical engineering, electronics or a similar area
• Several years of professional experience in a similar position, preferably within the automotive supplier industry
• Know-how in the development of electric drives and design
• Experience with production support
• Experience with testing of electric drives
• Experience with Catia V5, SAP, FMEA
• Good knowledge of automotive standards
• Fluent English language skills
