QA Engineer for Blockchain Industry
You will:
- Be involved in building out the Test Automation process/infrastructure for multiple projects
- Read and understand product/design documentation for test plan requirements
- Participate in design, development, writing and execution of automated/manual test plans
- Capture and analyze test results and document steps for reproducibility
- Enter, track and update bugs within a bug tracking database
- Provide estimates for creation and maintenance and therefore perform required maintenance on test scripts/suites across multiple projects
- Generate reports based on the automated/manual tests to provide visibility to Project Leadership
- Test around fixed issues/changes for regressions in functionality
- Escalate critical issues to the QA Lead
- Be an advocate for best-practice programming and testing, doing the research, adoption, and integration of new QA technologies
You have:
- 2+ years of experience in the same or similar position
- Experience with writing automated tests for web applications and API
- Ability to create test plans and test suites
- Solid experience writing and executing automation test scripts using some of software testing frameworks such as Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber, SOAPUI, etc.
- Strong experience with source control systems such as Git
- Experience with the following languages and formats: Ruby, JavaScript, JSON, SQL, HTML will be considered as a plus
- Understanding of Agile software development, especially Scrum
- Openness and willingness to listen and learn, but confident and skilled enough to contribute and share.
- Willingness to constructively challenge the status quo and are determined to build the best software out there
- Blockchain experience will be considered as an asset
