Requirements Engineer for IDD - Input Devices and Displays (m/f)

Our Human Machine Interface (HMI) business unit makes that drivers and passengers are optimally informed and can control functions in a user friendly way. Developing solutions from instrument clusters, head-up displays and displays solutions, through to control panels, central input devices, and morphing controls, HMI makes the processing and management of information easy, intuitive and reliable.
JOB DESCRIPTION
With this role you will be part of PDC IDD (Product Development Center Input Devices and Displays) in business unit HMI and work in an international team being involved in a wide product range with different display sizes and different customers working with the latest technologies on the market.
In your day to day job you will:
- Choose re-use concept in terms of product type related needs (own system and discipline documents)
- Define where the refinement of system requirements will be done (options: Performance Specification Master or Product Architecture)
- Reassign requirements in case of wrong assignments to the correct discipline/analyst
- Check provided requirements granularity and inform the Requirements Manager in case of needed refinement
- Manage and participate in reviews to identify Requirements inconsistencies
- Be responsible for elicitation of the requirements
- Be responsible for analysis of the requirements (analyzing, categorizing, prioritizing)
- Identify functional requirements inconsistencies and clarify those directly with the stakeholder
- Identify missing requirements and eliminate those in close cooperation with the stakeholder
- Document the requirements in the Performance Specification. (this includes requirement refinement if necessary)
- Ensure that the Performance Specification is in line with the customer needs
- Organize and participate in the documentation of the requirements in the Performance Specification
- Create the traceability from own documents to source
- Create necessary data for reporting purposes out of all own Requirements documents
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree (e.g. Automation and Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatroincs)
- Process experience on Change-, Version- and Requirements Management (CMMI, Spice)
- Tool know how for Change-, Version- and Requirements Management (e.g. DOORS)
- Good understanding of Systems Engineering methods and techniques
- Planning and organizing
- Capability to take initiative
- Understanding of the customers and users’ needs and problems
- Good knowledge in requirements engineering methods and techniques
- Analytical thinking
- Good communication skills and fluent in English
- Experience in developing display products (TFT, OLED, backlight, touch system) would be a major advantage
