Senior Accountant / Prospective Chief Accountant

Main responsibilities:

• Posting and processing journal entries in a production company, to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Manage and develop accounting team of two people, prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and works schedules and targets are met as per Group guidelines
• Tax reporting and compliance, preparation and submitting of VAT returns, monthly tax returns for the social security and salary tax, withholding tax returns to the Serbian Tax Administration, supervising Payroll calculation
• Responsible for tax and statutory audits which may be performed by the relevant Serbian authorities, liaison with auditors and partners
• Preparation of monthly and annual statutory financial statements, CIT return and tax balance
• Maintain company’s accounts reconciliations, ensuring accuracy
• Maintain and support the Company’s internal systems, establish and maintain internal controls in accounting area

Requirements:

• Education as Certified Financial Accountant
• Proven experience as senior accountant, preferably in a production company, minimum 5 years experience in a lead role
• Knowledge of local and international legislation in finance and accounting area, IAS/ IFRS
• MS Office intermediate user
• Intermediate English, written and spoken
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, liaison with other departments
