Senior Accountant

We are looking for: Senior accountant (m/f)

Main responsibilities:

• Posting of various financial transactions ensuring accurate and timely process
• Preparation of monthly financial statement for Group purpose in line with IFRS
• Preparation and control of yearly financial statement (local & group) in line with IFRS
• Collection, calculation, and submission of VAT report, withholding tax, CIT (all applicable tax obligations)
• Monthly depreciation calculation, accrual, and deferral
• Payments and reconciliations
• Cooperation with tax authorities, auditors, banks and other competent institutions
• Makes year-end closing accounting process and new year opening of accounts
• Monitors changes in the tax legislation and adaptation the company
• Participation in audit, transfer pricing elaborates
• Participation in budget and forecast process
• Monitoring and applying legal regulations and IFRS
• Keeps track of the activities of accountant colleagues and provide support in their work
• Assists in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
• Performs other tasks in the field of accounting and bookkeeping by requests of managers

The successful applicant:

• University or College degree in Economics
• At least 10 years of previous experience in accounting
• Knowledge of accounting in construction companies is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of Serbian tax and accounting standards, local legislation, IFRS
• Knowledge of English language, both spoken and written
