Senior Finance Accountant

Senior Finance Accountant is digital driven accountant that possesses a strong operational and technical accounting background, know-how of accounting and payment, strong communication skills, a proven ability to juggle priorities and works proactively to drive results with digital-native’s mindset. Senior Finance Accountant is a self-starter and flexible person who has a high level of integrity; is action and goal-oriented; and is comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Senior Finance Accountant is responsible for implementing digital accounting solutions, overseeing the preparation of monthly financials, invoicing and reporting, developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures and controls within the legal entity and providing monthly and year-end accounting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Post and process journal entries
• Manages, issues invoices, prepares payments and manage accounts receivables
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Examine and process expenses submitted by employees
• Prepare and submit monthly reports and assist in the preparation of yearly closings
• Process and update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and available when needed
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Supporting and actively participating in the implementation and further development of the financial process, including the implementation of new systems
• Drive improvements and implementation in MENU’s digital agenda for process automatization in the field of accounting
• Collecting fees in an e-commerce and subscription-based business
• Lead monthly budgeting and invoicing for inter-company service charges
• Setting up the digital document processing and optimization of processes as well as the development of tailor-made solutions for digitalized accounting processes
• Act as the primary point of contact for client’s accounting questions and needs
• Applying accounting standards, with the understanding of e-commerce

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of accounting experience
• Experienced Accountant with demonstrated history of working in SaaS industry
• Experience with the complex subscription and transaction-based revenue schedules
• Understanding of data flows to system and digital accounting tools
• Familiarity with e-commerce specific KPI’s
• Experience with full close-cycle accounting
• Experience preparing financials for consumer products companies selling online
• A passion for leveraging systems and driving process improvements
• High degree initiative, team spirit, proactive actions
• You are tech-savvy, have experience with e-commerce systems and corresponding payment providers
• An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
• Fluent in German and English
