The Senior Developer Role

The senior Java Developer role will work within the Belgrade/Novi Sad team with a view of transitioning to a team lead. The role includes.

• Work throughout the development stack with a variety of platforms & modern architectures
• Develop new applications and enhance and support existing applications
• Build your skillset further with modern technologies
• Translate business requirements into software requirements and design
• Design well structured & maintainable applications

Skills Required of the Senior Java Developer

• A strong background in Java Development
• Good communication skills
• Fluent English
• The ambition to learn new technology
• The ambition to understand underlying business requirements
• Desired skills in one or more: Spring, Solr, SQL, REST services, Python, Linux, Shell script, AWS, Java web applications

The Team Lead Role

• Analysing project requirements and input on technical solutions
• Communicate with other teams and stakeholders
• Improving team technical skills and mentor colleagues
• Allocate and prioritize tasks
• Design and code reviews
• Provide project status
• Troubleshooting technical and other issues

Working arrangements and benefits

• Contract based work, payed per hour in EUR at a competitive rate in the region
• Working from home or any other location
• Core working hours are in line with the UK team (09:00-17:00 BST, 10:00-18:00 Belgrade) but flexible on day to day basis
