You can expect from this role to:

  • Collaborate with teams in Serbia and Iceland to analyze, design, and develop the backend infrastructure for innovative gaming solutions. We invite to check some of them - www.pollardbanknote.com/game-studio
  • Document, test and deploy software to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Deliver well-structured, efficient and reusable code
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain coding standards and share best practices
  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering their professional growth
  • Contribute to project and release planning, ensuring timely and successful delivery

You will be a match if you have:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in Java development, with expertise in frameworks such as Spring Boot and Vert.x or any other comparable framework with a focus on reactive and asynchronous programming
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and platforms like Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, with experience in standards like OpenAPI, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana for visualizing metrics and improving system performance
  • Security-first mindset with the ability to implement secure coding practices
