Senior Mobile Engineer

PLAYSTUDIOS is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the development team. This role focuses on creating and improving the Android SDK, iOS SDK, and Unity SDK.

The Senior Mobile Engineer will work directly with partners for integration, business stakeholders to define features, project managers to scope and schedule deliverables and QA testers to achieve high-quality products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Extend our mobile SDKs with new features and services;
• Deploy high-quality software products to our Azure cloud infrastructure;
• Develop tooling and processes to benefit our growing team;
• Work with the team lead, product owner, and project manager to break down high-level goals into tasks and timelines;
• Enhance our sample app with every feature developed into the mobile SDKs for testers;
• Make sure new SDK version is deployed successfully and tested thoroughly before announcing it to the partners;
• Prepare release notes and changelog for the partners;
• Ensure stability, security, performance, and architectural cleanliness of our systems;
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile development trends to ensure that the latest mobile devices are supported;
• Integrating and supporting mobile SDKs in the partners' apps.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of hands-on Android development using Kotlin and iOS development using Swift experience;
• Expert in building mobile apps and developing the Android SDK and iOS SDK that help you create scalable, dynamic, extensible, and highly performant applications;
• Have a working knowledge of remote APIs, concurrency, layouts, transitions, animations, client-side persistence, and architectural patterns on mobile apps;
• Closely collaborate with partners, product managers and designers to help refine (and even define) products and experiences;
• Comfortable with working with partners to resolve SDK integration challenges;
• You are a strong communicator who enjoys working closely with others while being comfortable with independently delivering broad business outcomes;
• Familiar and comfortable with agile methodologies;
• Love learning new technologies, practices, and designs;
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, profiling, and analytic skills;
• Experience writing and maintaining automated unit tests.

PREFERRED

• 2+ years of hands-on Unity development experience;
• Passion for games.
