Senior QA Analyst (Manual)

Remote position

We are looking to hire a Senior QA Analyst who will collaborate with QA and development team and will contribute to define automation and manual testing approaches/strategies for the company's projects. The ideal candidate should be able to ensure QA project activities and deliverables are completed on-time and on-budget.

What will be your Role

• Lead collaboration with the product owner and project team members to review and clarify project scope and requirements 
• Lead and contribute to defining a test approach/strategy for projects
• Test Plan design and execution 
• Prepare test data for manual test cases
• Validate data using SQL and other tools
• Identify, document and track issues found during testing
• Coordinate with developers and project team members to triage and resolve issues
• Escalate risks that will directly impact project timelines and deliverables to the project team
• Assist in deployment verification of applications or customer deliverables
• Update status of assigned project tasks and time reporting duties
• Ensure quality and on-time delivery in all assigned work

What do you need to have

• At least 2 years of QA and testing work experience
• Ability and applied knowledge of Quality Assurance and Testing best practices 
• Thorough understanding and working knowledge of different types of testing
• Aptitude in reconciling testing requirements with business requirements
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and other software development methodologies
• Database knowledge and experience - SQL with Microsoft SQL Server or other database platforms
• Experience with Back-end testing
• Concise and effective written and verbal skills to communicate with other professionals, including IT BAs, IT Developers, and other project stakeholders
• A positive and flexible individual with a successful history of working in a fast-paced, client-focused, and dynamic environment
• Passion for quality and great attention to detail
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, technical area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
