Social Media Manager

Axe Publishing is looking for a motivated and influential social media manager to create and maintain social media presence for one of our magazine websites - The Sleep Advisors.

You will be responsible for creating social media campaigns and managing our growing community.

Key responsibilities of this role:

• Excellent copywriting skills 
• Lead, develop and implement social media strategy to increase online engagement and brand awareness. The overall focus of the role is to drive the social reputation and grow our followership across key targets including PR, key opinion formers/influencers and existing partners.

• Responsible for all social listening, flagging and addressing any issues and opportunities you identify and working with the right people in the business to respond, as needed. 
• Monitor trends in social media broadly, and within the brand community specifically, to ensure the brand remains adaptive; keep managers up to speed with developments

Skills required for this role:

• A confident, outward-looking, proactive communicator with proven success in creating standout social media messaging.
• Deep knowledge and understanding of key social platforms including analytics.
• Experience in creating engaging and impactful social media content: from videos to gifs to static posts.
• Proven experience of using an extensive range of social media marketing tools.
• A solid understanding of the social media landscape, emerging channels, and trends.
• Ability to formulate and manage high profile, organic social campaigns.
• A self-motivated, enthusiastic, problem solver with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to move and influence people.
• A fast learner who easily catches on with market trends, who is passionate about social media.
