Software Engineer (Backend/Platform) full stack

At Sporting Rock we are developing and operating sports management systems. We organize sports!

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build a large-scale internet platform. The ideal candidate will have experience with modern backend development, a strong understanding of distributed systems, and be comfortable working with a variety of technologies. We are a fully distributed, international company that embraces agile methodologies. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, designers, and product managers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services
• Contribute to the architecture and design of a distributed system
• Implement and maintain APIs and data pipelines
• Work with various data stores and messaging systems, specifically PostgreSQL and Kafka
• Ensure code quality through testing and reviews
• Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Contribute to the improvement of our development processes

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in languages like Rust, Go, or Kotlin
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Experience with API design and development
• Knowledge of data stores (SQL, NoSQL), especially PostgreSQL, and message brokers like Kafka
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Understanding of testing methodologies

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with event-driven data pipelines and interfaces
