Truckload Dispatcher

Pam International Inc, Chicago-based transportation company is looking for a Truckload Dispatcher. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Booking loads and developing relations with the drivers and brokers 
• Effective planning and coordination of freight for our trucks
• Understanding the need for on time pick up, delivery and notification to the brokers
• Assigning available drivers to loads to accept each load for proximity to pick up location, available hours under DOT regulations, home time and training requirements
• Establish course of action to ensure that work is completed efficiently

Experience/Skills Required:

• 1 year minimum experience in a related dispatcher role (applications without it will not be considered)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Extensive knowledge of DOT hours of service/regulations
• Strong decision making, ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced deadline driven environment
• Collaborative attitude, energetic, positive, focused on details/results, determined to perform at a high leve
