US Logistics Accounting Specialist (AP/AR)

Job Description:

The Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions related to incoming and outgoing payments. This role involves ensuring timely invoicing, processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:

• Generate and send invoices to clients in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications with clients.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to receivables.

Accounts Payable:

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies with vendors.

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to payables.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure proper documentation for purchases.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable in the US logistics: brokerage or trucking industry.
• Experience with collections, factoring companies.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
