VB Developer

We are seeking a talented developer with 2-3 years of experience for full-time position to join our Serbian operation. The successful candidate will work directly with technical and business users to implement and customize Softek’s software products. The candidate will use VB programming to enhance  Softek’s bespoke user interfaceas well as creating and extending scripts and macro enabled Excel spreadsheets.  They need to be experienced with object oriented programming. The role also includes providing internal technical support to ensure the smooth operation of the Serbian office.

The position requires working directly with Softek’s developers in Toronto and London, making communication and interpersonal skills essential. Responsibilities:
·         VB programming and creation of macro enable development Excel Spreadhseets which includes data interfaces and bespoke reports
·         Software implementations and upgrades
·         Support for end users to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
·         Configure and test software to meet client specifications
·         Coordination with internal staff and clients to ensure on-time project deliveries
·         Internal technical support to ensure smooth operation of the Serbian office

Skills and Requirements:
·         Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or other technical discipline
·         Sound knowledge and 2-3 years of experience with .NET and programming/scripting languages (some C#, and most importantly VB)
·         Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
·         Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and under direction
·         Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
·         Excellent interpersonal skills
·         Sound English oral and written skills a must
