For our company in Subotica, Serbia, we are looking for: Welding Engineer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that products and services meet all necessary requirements before reaching the customer in regards to welding
- Ensuring the welding quality standard
- Develop standards, materials, weld joint design, and welding processes
- Develop welding process procedure qualification, supplier qualification, and product testing
- Troubleshoot welding problems and provide corrective solutions
- Provide welding engineering support to Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to fabricate equipment
- Support the release of new welding equipment and any weld parameter changes
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly in regards to welding
- Support and participate in root cause analysis and process improvement activities
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Technical college degree or above
- Minimum 5 years work experience on similar jobs in the automotive industry
- Work experience in welding (TIG/MIG/MAG)
- Preferably work experience in production with robotics
- Welding related experience, including welding metallurgy experience, in a construction, fabrication, or repair facility
- Understanding of mechanical and structural components as it relates to welding engineering assessments and recommendation
- Proven knowledge and practical experience of common welding processes
- Completed training as International Welding Engineer as a plus
- Must be able to read and create 2D drawings
- Solid understanding of test and measuring equipment
- Advance Computer skills - Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Serbian
- Advanced knowledge of English (spoken and written)
- Optional knowledge of German
- Good communication skills, great organization skills, initiative, resourcefulness, possibility of teamwork and independent work, flexibility
