Accountant for The Records of Securities

We need an accountant to record financial transactions related to securities and activities in financial markets. This position requires a detailed understanding of accounting principles and regulations related to this field, as well as the ability to accurately and timely report to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) and other relevant institutions.

Job Description:

• Recordkeeping and transaction tracking: Maintaining accurate records of all transactions related to investments in securities and trading on financial markets. This includes entering data on purchases, sales, dividends, interest, and other relevant transactions into the accounting system.
• Understanding of financial statements: Understanding of financial statements following applicable accounting standards and laws. This includes understanding balance sheets, income statements, statements of changes in equity, and cash flow statements.
• Reporting to the NBS: Proper and timely reporting of all relevant transactions and information to the National Bank of Serbia, including permit requirements, periodic reports, and other notifications and reports following regulations.
• Monitoring regulatory changes: Monitoring all changes in laws and regulations related to investments in securities and trading on financial markets. Ensuring that all business activities comply with current regulations.
• Collaboration with internal and external auditors: Collaborating with internal and external auditors to enable the verification and analysis of financial data.

Expectations from candidates:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Certified Accountant qualification.
• Experience working with securities and financial markets is considered an advantage.
• Fluent English language skills.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Serbian accounting and tax regulations.
• Accuracy and carefulness in work.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
