Join our dynamic and friendly team as an Accounting - Billing Clerk, and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely billing while learning and growing with us!
Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Verify billing information and ensure all required documentation is complete
- Process carrier invoices and manage payment submissions to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, factoring companies, and internal departments regarding billing and payment inquiries
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Required skills and characteristics:
- High school diploma required
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and accounting processes
- Experience with billing in the transportation/logistics industry or working with a Transportation Management System (TMS) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with invoices, payments, and financial documentation
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to completing tasks accurately and on time
- Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and industry-specific requirements
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changes while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to work with formulas, filters, and organize financial data
