Accounting - Billing Clerk

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Verify billing information and ensure all required documentation is complete
• Process carrier invoices and manage payment submissions to ensure timely and accurate payments
• Reconcile accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, factoring companies, and internal departments regarding billing and payment inquiries
• Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Required skills and characteristics:

• High school diploma required
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and accounting processes
• Experience with billing in the transportation/logistics industry or working with a Transportation Management System (TMS) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with invoices, payments, and financial documentation
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to completing tasks accurately and on time
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and industry-specific requirements
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changes while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Professional written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to work with formulas, filters, and organize financial data
