Accounting Specialist (General Ledger)

Workforce is partnering with an international automotive manufacturer  - Finestamping. Founded in 2013, the headquarters is located in China, specializing in the research and development, manufacturing and sales of various types of motor cores, gradually forming three catalogues of products, from industrial motor core to new energy motor core. Yearly, they provide motors for 300 million cars with 2.5 billion yearly revenues.

Serbia Fine Stamping is founded in 2024 as the first overseas company. We are helping them construct a new and energetic team to solidify the global footprint.  Workforce is supporting the company in the search for a detail-oriented finance professional. This is a long-term opportunity for experienced candidates, as the following position is now open:

General Ledger Accountant (Apatin)

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle general ledger accounting, including preparation and posting of journal entries, month-end closing, and reconciliation of financial statements
• Handling accounting for Free Trade Zone operations, including bonded material procurement, processing, re-export, and domestic sales, in compliance with FTZ regulatory requirements
• Managing import and export-related accounting activities, including foreign exchange settlement, export tax rebate processing, and customs-related financial documentation
• Preparing monthly financial statements and internal management reports, analyzing variances and providing recommendations to support management decisions
• Ensuring accurate and timely VAT, corporate income tax, and other tax filings, and supporting export tax refund processes
• Organizing and maintaining financial vouchers, ledgers, and import/export documentation in line with document management regulations
• Supporting internal and external audits by providing required financial data and documentation and following up on corrective actions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a general ledger accountant in production environment
• Hands-on experience in import and export accounting is required; FTZ experience is preferred
• Solid knowledge of local accounting standards, IFRS, and tax regulations
• Proficiency in  MS Office, with strong Excel and financial reporting skills. SAP skills are advantage.
• English proficiency sufficient for daily business communication is mandatory
