Job title: Accounts Payable Manager (9 Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Office location: Spanskih boraca, Belgrade - Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
About the role and the Team:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable professional to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records, ensuring the Finance team can provide accurate and timely financial information to lenders, the Board, auditors and other stakeholders. You will ensure all payment runs are processed promptly and accurately, manage high volumes of supplier invoices while maintaining a high level of accuracy, and ensure suppliers are paid on time in line with established financial controls. You will also respond to supplier and colleague queries quickly and professionally, providing accurate information and advice, while identifying opportunities to improve and develop the Accounts Payable function.
The role will involve leading and supporting a small team, resolving problems effectively, managing competing priorities and contributing to the continuous improvement of processes. We are looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and a proactive approach to delivering an efficient, accurate and high-quality Accounts Payable service.
What will you be doing?
- Process invoices in SAP
- Match supplier's invoices to approved orders
- Process all purchases (supplier invoices) and credit notes in SAP
- Coordinate weekly unapproved invoice meetings by dept
- Support UK and Serbian audits by co-ordinating the AP requests across the AP team
- Ensure AP mailbox is monitored daily and all emails are dealt with within agreed SLAs
- Strengthen the Accounts Payable Process Control environment and engaging with Payment Operations to close out issues timely
- Support and help implement working capital solutions and providing input into the Treasury Manager for weekly cashflow forecasting
- Provide ad-hoc support on the SAP ERP upgrade project when cover is required
- Generate and submit bi-monthly payment lists
- Ensure all bank checks are completed in line with policy
What we are looking for:
- University degree
- Knowledge of Purchase to Pay process
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable or Bookkeeping
- Proficient user of MS Excel - Vlookup, Pivot, SUMIF, CONCATENATE
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Previous line management experience - DESIRABLE
- SAP - DESIRABLE
