Accounts Payable Specialist

On behalf of our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, specializing in sea freight, air freight, contract logistics, and overland services, Adecco is seeking motivated and detail-oriented professionals to join their team for the following position: Accounts Payable Specialist (junior/medior/senior) 

As part of the APO team, you ensure high-quality service by managing the end-to-end creditor process—from invoice tracking and dispute resolution to payment execution. You act as a key link between operations, suppliers, and finance teams, using proactive communication in English to solve challenges and optimize financial workflows.

Location: Belgrade

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the full invoice/credit note lifecycle, ensuring correct statuses, and managing parked, overdue, or incorrectly processed items (reversals).
• Preparing and executing manual, urgent, and system payments (Acon/Bank), while analyzing and resolving advanced or short payment discrepancies.
• Direct daily coordination with colleagues, European regional teams, and international suppliers to manage creditor accounts effectively.
• Identifying and resolving non-confirmed invoices and disputes, providing visibility and reminders to local operations and business units.
• Performing regular clean-ups of creditor debit balances and handling specialized Supply Chain Finance (SCF) processes.
• Conducting month-end closing activities, ICS reporting, and collaborating with Standard Finance teams on indexing and account opening.

Candidate Profile:

• 1–3 years in Finance/Accounting for Junior level; 3–5 years for Advanced.
• Proficiency in English (written/spoken) is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic or Turkish is a strong advantage.
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel is key).
• Proactive approach with "out-of-the-box" thinking and the ability to make independent decisions
• Excellent time management with a strong focus on attention to detail.
• Dedicated team player with the ability to support colleagues and handle tasks efficiently.
