Accounts Receivable Specialist

Vroom is currently seeking a well-organized and efficient Accounts Receivable Specialist.
This team member will be responsible for effective analysis problem resolution of the company's outstanding accounts and the application of payments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the accounts receivable aging and contact lenders/customers to secure payments on outstanding account balances
• Resolve customer issues to minimize payment disputes and AR adjustments
• Research customer credit balances and work with Accounts Payable department to process refunds
• Research and resolve discrepancies between invoices and appropriate accounting supporting records
• Work with cross-functional departments to obtain appropriate documentation for collection and cash application efforts
• Prepare and upload journal entries as necessary, participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual processes
• Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments, and customers
• Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering corrections to customer accounts
• Contact customers to locate/obtain outstanding payments when necessary

Qualifications

• Proficient in English
• Prefer at least 3 years of accounts receivable/billing experience
• Experience using Google suite and Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience contacting customers and history of resolving overdue balances required
• Knowledge of the general ledger to effectively research and trace transactions
• Must communicate clearly and professionally with all levels, customers, vendors, and Team members
