Role Summary (Plain English)

We’re looking for a Business Central developer who can translate real business processes into reliable system workflows. You’ll own the full lifecycle of customizations in AL (Business Central’s programming language) for both on‑prem and SaaS environments, with an emphasis on production planning, shop floor, routings. You’ll work closely with Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to streamline processes, maintain stable environments, and deliver improvements without disrupting daily work.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Support for Manufacturing & Production Workflow.
• With team in production and logistic together you will analyze and prepare solutions for update process.Analyze and improve Production/Assembly Orders, BOMs, Routings, Work/Machine Centers, Capacity, MRP/MPS, Planning Worksheet.
• Implement custom logic for backflushing, scrap, QC holds, lot/serial tracking, and change management.
• Optimize lead times, throughput, and scheduling via custom AL extensions and event subscribers.
• Development & Customization (AL)Build extensions using AL in VS Code, leveraging event publishers/subscribers, table/page/codeunit/enum extensions, and permissions.
• Create/update reports (Word and RDLC), role centers, pages, queries, and API/OData endpoints.
• Maintain coding standards, conduct code reviews, write AL automated tests, and document changes.
• Environment ManagementSaaS: Manage environments in Business Central Admin Center (sandboxes, updates, telemetry, feature management).
• On‑Prem: Manage NST/service tiers, SQL Server, backups/restore, performance tuning (keys/indexes), and cumulative updates.
• Support CI/CD with Git and Azure DevOps (pipelines for build/test/publish).
• Integration & DataBuild/maintain integrations using web services, OData, APIs,  and generating APIs for Power BI datasets.
• Handle data migration, configuration packages, ETL, and data quality checks.
• Ensure secure, compliant handling of data and permission sets.

Must‑Have Skills & Experience

• Hands-on development in AL for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV (BC preferred).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing in Business Central: BOMs, Routings, Production Orders, Capacity, MRP/MPS, Planning Worksheet.
• Proficiency with event-driven AL (subscribers/publishers), extensions, permissions, report layouts (Word/RDLC), and query optimization.
• Experience with both SaaS (tenant management, updates) and On‑Prem (NST, SQL Server, service tiers).
• DevOps habits: Git, branching strategies, Azure DevOps build/release pipelines, code reviews.
• Solid understanding of Business Central APIs, OData, web services, Power Automate flows, and Power BI integration basics.
• Ability to translate business workflows into technical specifications and communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Performance tuning (keys, SIFT, indexes), Job Queue stability, and telemetry/logging familiarity.
