China Shandong International Economic and Technical Corporation Group Ltd ogranak Beograd announces the recruitment of an Bridge Design Management Engineer.

Project: Belgrade-Zrenjanin-Novi Sad Highway
Salary: Negotiable

Job Description:

Full-Process Design Management:

Responsible for the design management of bridge engineering in highway projects; promoting and tracking design progress; ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of design documents, meeting the requirements for construction permit design and subsequent project phases.

Design Review and Optimization:

Conducting rigorous reviews of bridge drawings, calculation reports (e.g. finite element analysis models), and technical specifications submitted by external design institutes. Leading the optimization of bridge structural design and proposing feasible value engineering solutions to reduce project costs and improve constructability.

Technical Coordination and Communication:

Acting as the key technical interface for bridge engineering within the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) team; responsible for efficient technical communication and coordination with local design institutes, national-level technical review committees, and the Employer; resolving technical bottlenecks during the design approval process.

On-site Technical Support:

Supporting the construction team by addressing design-related queries during bridge construction, handling design changes on site, and ensuring full alignment between construction execution and design solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering, Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the design and design management of medium to large-scale highway or railway bridges. Experience in international EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects is preferred.
  • English as a working language, with the ability to conduct fluent technical communication and draft technical documentation.

Strong team spirit, ability to work under pressure, and excellent cross-cultural communication skills.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong command of bridge structural design principles; proficient in mainstream structural analysis software such as Midas, and in finite element methods.
  • In-depth knowledge of Eurocodes and local national standards for engineering design and construction acceptance.
  • Excellent capability in reviewing drawings, with a strong awareness of design optimization (cost reduction and efficiency improvement).
