We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bridge Engineer Assistant to support the Responsible Engineer for structures in the execution of bridge works on the Belgrade-Zrenjanin-Novi Sad Highway project. The role combines technical site support with daily project administration, including maintaining current construction documentation, preparing site diaries, measurement books and daily reports, reviewing incoming technical and construction documentation, and supporting the monitoring of works on site. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, site teams, subcontractors and other project stakeholders to help ensure that bridge works are performed in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, project procedures, quality standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Responsible Engineer for structures in the daily coordination and monitoring of bridge construction activities.
• Maintain and organize current project documentation, including site records, construction logs, measurement books and daily reports.
• Review incoming drawings, technical documentation, method statements, material documentation and other project records, and highlight any missing information or inconsistencies.
• Monitor on-site works, track progress and quality, and report relevant observations, delays, risks or non-conformities to the responsible engineer.
• Assist in checking that works are carried out in line with approved designs, specifications, project procedures and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors and other project participants regarding documentation, technical clarifications and daily site activities.
• Prepare clear and timely internal reports and support the preparation of documentation for meetings, inspections and project records.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a focus on structural engineering, transportation infrastructure or construction management.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction; experience on bridge, road or large-scale infrastructure engineering projects is preferred.
• Understanding of construction documentation, site reporting, drawings, specifications and basic quality control procedures.
• Ability to communicate on English language is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar technical software is an advantage.
• Ability to work both in the office and on site, with a practical approach to daily construction activities.

Professional Skills:

• Ability to read and understand bridge construction drawings, technical specifications and construction details.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in document control, record keeping and reporting.
• Practical understanding of bridge construction processes, site coordination and quality monitoring.
• Ability to identify site issues, communicate them clearly and support timely corrective actions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to cooperate effectively with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
