The Category Manager will join the Purchasing Department within the Commercial Division and act as a product specialist for the assigned food category. Reporting directly to the relevant Product Manager, the role will support product development activities, category analysis, supplier evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product quality and competitiveness.

Job description: 

• Analyse the assigned food category, monitoring market trends and product developments
• Support product development activities, including the definition and management of product specifications
• Assist in the supplier selection and evaluation process
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Quality departments on product-related projects and initiatives
• Conduct qualitative product assessments to support product improvement and category management

Required qualifications:

• Degree in Food Science and Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in category management or a comparable role.
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, ensuring an effective flow of information
• Analytical approach, with the ability to analyse, interpret, and translate data into meaningful insights to support product management and performance monitoring
• Reliable and consistent in delivering assigned activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards
• Strong planning and organization skills, with the ability to manage daily activities and deadlines effectively while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and traceability in analytical and administrative task
