CI/IE Engineer - Continuous Improvement Industrial Engineer

Job description:

• Assist in plant operations to drive improvement in manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques
• Be responsible for managing and leading continuous improvement projects, as well as mentoring Project Leaders
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and DMAIC tools and methodology throughout the manufacturing facility and processes Administer Company rules, policies, and regulations
• Implement tools such as Process Capability
• Do standard work - implementation of metrics and best practices
• Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices
• Be responsible for production process development with full documentation support
• Identify and implement new technologies, specification of requirements, Capex justification, planning, and implementation
• Provide World Class Manufacturing techniques to support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
• Be responsible for plant layout development and optimization
• Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials
• Be responsible for time studies, rated activities sampling
• Be responsible for processes’ capacities and constraints monitoring

 MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, Lean implementation, or continuous improvement activities.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel, including Power Query for data preparation, transformation, and analysis.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork, facilitation, and workshop leadership skills.
• Ability to prepare and deliver employee training on tools and methods from the Problem Solving and Lean toolkits.
• Experience in managing improvement and capital investment projects, including investment planning, justification, approval process coordination, and implementation.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the automotive or tire manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Experience in conducting time and motion studies.
• Knowledge of methodologies and tools such as 5S, Kaizen, PDCA, A3, DMAIC, OEE, SPC, MSA, FMEA, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
• Experience with process mapping, material flow analysis, and production layout optimization.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software for production layout development and optimization.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Minitab, or other data analysis and visualization tools.
• Experience in preparing investment proposals, business cases, budgets, and investment approval documentation.
• Experience in project execution from concept definition through commissioning, handover, and post-implementation performance monitoring.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing project risks, stakeholders, and organizational change.
