Position Overview

The Claims Specialist will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving claims related to freight damage, vehicle accidents, property damage, and insurance matters. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate cargo loss, freight damage claims, and accident reports
• Communicate with drivers, insurance adjusters, customers, and internal departments
• Maintain organized, accurate, and complete claim files and documentation
• Ensure timely filing and resolution of claims in compliance with federal regulations
• Monitor recurring issues to identify risks and assist in developing preventive measures
• Support subrogation efforts and settlement processes

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in claims management (transportation/trucking preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with FMCSA/DOT regulations and insurance policies
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management software
