Cloud Engineer

Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, delivering and operating various services which are a part of our enterprise cloud offering tailor made for our customers - companies of various verticals and sizes in the Adriatic region, EU and USA. 

Responsibilities:

• Development and implementation of new and maintenance of existing cloud services
• Development and maintenance of various tools for managing and automating cloud platform operations
• Participation in disaster recovery and migration projects, design, delivery and support phases
• Performing maintenance, monitoring, and lifecycle management of physical servers (firmware updates, hardware diagnostics, capacity planning) 
• Administer and maintain storage systems (SAN/NAS), including configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting 
• Develop, maintain, and improve automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure operations (PowerShell, Ansible and Terraform)
• Providing technical support for cloud customers throughout their service lifecycle
• Continuous cooperation with network/security and private cloud teams to provide optimal solutions for hybrid cloud use cases
• Providing technical support to the sales team throughout the pre-sales process
• Maintain accurate technical documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures
• Continuous education and occasional certification related to the technologies used in day-to-day work

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in a systems engineer position, preferably for a telcо/cloud provider or medium/large enterprise or IT systems integrator
• Experience in VMware vSphere and underlying datacenter infrastructure, especially storage systems and SAN
• Experience with Veeam portfolio of backup / DR solutions
• Experience in Windows and Linux Server administration
• Experience with automation and scripting tools (PowerShell, bash, Ansible, Terraform, or similar)
• Experience maintaining physical server hardware (Dell, HPE, or similar) 
• Practical knowledge of enterprise storage systems (SAN/NAS – e.g., NetApp, Dell, HPE, Pure Storage, or similar) 
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals as they relate to virtualization and storage
• Knowledge of information security good practices in in cloud/hybrid cloud environments
• Fluency in spoken and written Serbian and English

Nice to have:

• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
• Previous experience with different virtualization solutions (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox, Nutanix) 
• Previous experience with cloud service provider environments and multi-tenant infrastructure (eg. Cloud Director, or similar)
• Previous experience with Veeam Cloud Connect 
• Previous experience with scripting/orchestration frameworks for infrastructure-as-code 
• Previous experience with storage solutions (NetApp, Dell, HPE, Pure Storage etc.)
• IT certifications (e.g. VMware, Veeam, NetApp, CompTIA, or similar)
• Previous experience with projects planning and delivery
