Job title: Commercial Finance Analyst
Office location: Spanskih boraca, Belgrade - Hybrid working (3 days in the office)
About the role and the Team:
The primary function of the role will be to help deliver the T&I month end process, creation of journals based on insight gathered, ensure accuracy in reporting & insight for commentary, specifically covering Networks Cost of Goods Sold, IT Opex and T&I Capex.
Work closely with business owners for cost areas noted above to ensure understanding of cost drivers and ensure control mechanisms are maintained and updated as required.
This will also encompass accounting control for COGS lines which have been impacted in 2026 by changes to accounting for leases (IFRS16) including EADs, DPA, Exchange Backhaul and Data Centres.
Working closely with the Senior Commercial Finance Manager for T&I and colleagues in Commercial Finance, FP&A and Central Finance, the role will drive accurate financial reporting, financial planning (budgeting, monthly forecasting, R&O) and aid with cost control in T&I.
What will you be doing?
- Owning departmental spend results – working with T&I team & FP&A to produce accurate & timely monthly reporting,understanding & monitoring levels of future committed spend
- Creation of journals covering Network COGS, IT Opex, Network Capex and IT Projects Capex based on insight gathered and from collaboration with Senior Commercial Finance Manager – T&I
- Working closely with our FP&A and Central Finance teams to drive efficiency and accuracy of month end reporting
- Supporting Senior Commercial Finance Manager – T&I to deliver monthly spend reports & influence recipients of the information to drive effective evidence-based decision making
- Ensure accuracy of accounting for Network COGS impacted by IFRS16 Lease accounting changes and others impacted by projects (Voyager, EAD substitution etc)
- Support on the development & ongoing production of detailed operational planning models which feed into annual budget & quarterly forecasts
- Support Senior Commercial Finance Manager – T&I to produce the annual budget & monthly forecasts, considering run rates, decisions made since budget submission and changes to budget assumptions – help to drive ownership and understanding of forecasts with business partners
- Utilise re-forecasts to produce Risk and Opportunities view and control these via collaboration with business owners
- Ad-hoc analysis for the Senior Commercial Finance Manager – T&I
- Support control in departmental spend
- Support any business case requirements for the T&I team and approval process
What we are looking for:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline; Interested in and / or already studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA / CIMA / equivalent)
- Previous experience in month end close, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting
- Strong understanding of technical accounting
- Demonstrable experience of understanding business drivers and translating this to financial forecasting and control
- Ability to translate business understanding / data into meaningful insight to support financial control
- Proven eperience working with non-financial stakeholders
- Attention to detail with ability to focus on wider implications
- Commercial acumen
- Proficient user of MS Excel
