Role Description:
We're looking for a detail-oriented Compliance Associate to join our Carrier Compliance team. In this role you'll be the first line of defense in ensuring every carrier we work with meets FMCSA regulations, internal standards and risk management requirements — from initial onboarding through active operations.
Please note that work from the office in Novi Sad is mandatory.
You will work five days a week, Monday-Friday, 2nd shift.
Responsibilities:
Compliance & vetting
- Verify MC/DOT numbers, safety status, and FMCSA compliance
- Review and validate carrier documentation at onboarding
- Identify fraud risks and double-brokering indicators
- Deactivate carriers with revoked authority or inactive DOT numbers
Insurance tracking
- Monitor carrier insurance status and expiration dates
- Follow up with providers for missing or unreceived COIs
- Deactivate carriers with expired or lapsed coverage
- Keep insurance records accurate and audit-ready
Records & data
- Maintain and organize carrier documentation in the internal database
- Process broker-submitted carrier onboarding and setup requests
- Conduct ongoing status monitoring and record updates
Broker support
- Assist brokers with VIN verification and Highway monitoring
- Provide system support within Aljex and related tools
- Respond to internal compliance questions and escalations
Qualifications:
- Experience in safety departmen and with FMCSA regulations and carrier safety standards
- Familiarity with freight or logistics systems such as Aljex, Highway or DAT is a plus
- Proficient in using English, spoken and written
