We are looking for: Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a compliance program to ensure the organization operates in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations
• Regularly audit company procedures, practices, and documents to identify possible weaknesses or risks
• Cooperate with consultancies and resident legal firms when entering new markets,
• Represent the company before regulatory bodies in all licensing procedures and other company matters, across various jurisdictions
• Sign off on any marketing and advertising collateral to ensure it is compliant
• Remain up to date on relevant laws and update policies accordingly
• Conduct thorough research of potential new markets from a regulatory perspective and preparing the necessary licensing documentation
• Work closely with the relevant regulators to ensure the company is compliant, including acting as a point of contact for such bodies and to notify them of key events as required
• Create sound internal controls and monitor adherence to them
• Lead employee training and providing legal support to other company departments
• Direct involvement in drafting legal opinions

Requirements:

• University degree (Law)
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Regulatory or Corporate Affairs (preferably)
• Proficiency with the Office applications
• Verbal and written English Language Proficiency
