DevOps Engineer

Location: Belgrade, Serbia

Work model: Shift-based schedule with rotating shifts, including night shifts.

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for software deployments, troubleshooting and analyzing operational issues, creating detailed reports, maintaining customer operational documentation, and continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in building, testing, deploying, and supporting software solutions while contributing to the ongoing optimization, stability, and reliability of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with Development and Operations teams to automate deployment processes and ensure software releases are delivered according to established schedules.
• Document, review, and continuously improve existing and new operational processes to drive efficiency and reliability across the DevOps environment.
• Analyze system logs and operational data to identify issues, extract relevant information, and support seamless integration across multiple products and components.
• Monitor and troubleshoot software deployments, providing clear, detailed, and accurate analysis while ensuring transparency throughout the resolution process.
• Adapt to customer-specific operational requirements by following best practices and implementing evolving operational procedures.
• Generate operational and analytical reports while developing automation solutions to streamline reporting and data collection.
• Act as a central point of contact for incident triage, coordination, and escalation, ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
• Participate actively in team meetings, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and special projects aimed at improving processes, tooling, and operational effectiveness.
• Contribute to the night-shift DevOps support rotation, providing out-of-hours deployment and operational support to meet customer service requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Strong understanding of software systems, infrastructure, and networking concepts.
• Experience working with YAML configuration files.
• Background in DevOps, Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent troubleshooting, investigation, and documentation abilities.
• Critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• At least 1 year of relevant professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and APIs.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including queries, dashboards, APIs, and validation of generated assets stored in cloud buckets.
• Experience with Git and GitHub.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
