Who You Are

You are a people-first engineering leader who is passionate about building, developing, and retaining high-performing DevOps teams. You create an environment of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

You bring strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, with experience managing engineers through performance feedback, career development, workforce planning, and hiring. You know how to help individuals and teams grow while delivering meaningful business outcomes.

You excel at creating clarity in complex environments by setting priorities, balancing competing demands, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring your team can execute effectively against both project and operational commitments.

You possess strong technical foundations in DevOps, cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and reliability engineering. While you are not expected to be the primary hands-on contributor, you can guide technical discussions, challenge assumptions, support decision-making, and help remove complex delivery and operational blockers.

You use data and measurable outcomes to drive continuous improvement, leveraging operational and delivery metrics to improve reliability, efficiency, quality, and team effectiveness.

Above all, you are a pragmatic and results-oriented leader who develops people, strengthens processes, and enables teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable platforms that support business success.

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent education and practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing or formally leading an engineering team, including coaching, performance management, career development, hiring, and workload planning.
  • Demonstrated experience owning delivery and operational outcomes in cloud-based, high-availability, or business-critical environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern software delivery practices, cloud technologies, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, observability, and Site Reliability Engineering principles.
  • Experience working with technical leads and architects to guide technical discussions, standards, and long-term platform decisions without becoming the primary hands-on technical owner.
  • Experience with Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, change management, release governance, and DevOps practices focused on end-to-end responsibility and automation.
  • Strong planning, prioritization, decision-making, and execution discipline, with the ability to balance delivery, operational stability, technical quality, and team capacity.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence across leadership and distributed global teams.
  • Organized and disciplined work ethic with a consistent focus on accountability, measurable outcomes, and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have

  • Experience managing teams in regulated, security-sensitive, high-availability, manufacturing-integrated, or hybrid technology environments.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams and coordinating delivery or operational support across time zones and regions.
