Purpose of Position

To ensure the efficient, compliant, and timely execution of import, export, transit, nationalization and re-export customs operations for international e-commerce activities. The role is responsible for coordinating customs brokers, monitoring declaration processes, managing customs documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting end-to-end cross-border operations. Based on the business structure, the position acts as the primary customs focal point between country operations, customs brokers, logistics providers, and central teams.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Import & Export Customs Operations

• Manage daily import, export and transit customs operations.
• Ensure all customs activities are completed within required lead times.
• Follow customs clearance processes from declaration creation until closure.
• Coordinate customs activities with warehouses, carriers, brokers and country operations teams.
• Support international shipment movements between countries and bonded warehouses.

2. Customs Documentation Management

• Prepare, review and control all customs-related documents.
• Verify Commercial Invoice, Packing List, CMR, T1, import and export declaration documents.
• Ensure document accuracy and completeness before customs submission.
• Maintain proper documentation archives according to legal requirements.
• Ensure all customs records are available for audits and inspections.

3. Customs Broker Management

• Coordinate daily activities with customs brokers and service providers.
• Monitor declaration registrations and clearance progress.
• Follow up open customs files and unresolved issues.
• Ensure customs brokers perform services in line with company requirements and service level agreements.
• Escalate delays and operational risks when necessary.

4. Transit, Bonded Warehouse and Nationalization Operations

• Manage bonded warehouse customs processes.
• Coordinate transit declaration operations and customs transfers.
• Follow nationalization (customs release) activities.
• Monitor re-export and inter-country customs procedures.
• Ensure customs statuses are updated correctly in operational systems.

5. Systems & Process Management

• Use related customs management systems effectively.
• Monitor customs workflow statuses and system integrations.
• Follow declaration registrations, customs approvals and customs closure statuses.
• Support process improvement projects related to customs operations.
• Participate in UAT and system enhancement activities when required.

6. Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure compliance with local customs regulations and company policies.
• Follow legislative changes affecting customs operations.
• Identify compliance risks and proactively report them.
• Support internal and external customs audits.
• Ensure adherence to customs and foreign trade regulations.

7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor customs lead times and clearance performance.
• Track customs-related KPIs and SLAs.
• Prepare operational reports for management.
• Analyze customs delays and propose corrective actions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce customs cycle times and costs.

The Candidate We Are Looking For

• University Degree
• Fluent in English (both written & verbal)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar background
• B license /active driver
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked, fast-paced and global environment
• Confident, self-motivated with a flexible and proactive approach
