About the Role
Our client is a leading international real estate development company, delivering large-scale residential, hospitality, retail, commercial, and mixed-use projects across multiple markets. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Manager to lead and coordinate all electrical engineering aspects of their projects, including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, ELV systems, fire alarm systems, and emergency lighting, while ensuring safe, reliable, fully coordinated, and cost-effective solutions aligned with international standards.
This role is focused on providing technical leadership across all project stages, from concept development to construction support, managing design consultants, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure fully integrated and compliant electrical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate electrical design activities throughout all project stages, from concept development to construction support.
- Review and assess electrical design submissions, including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, earthing and lightning protection, ELV/ICT systems, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and BIM models.
- Ensure electrical design solutions meet project briefs, performance requirements, local authority regulations, utility requirements, international standards, and company design guidelines.
- Manage and coordinate external design consultants and monitor the timely implementation and closure of technical and BIM-related comments.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, project management, procurement, cost management, planning, and facility management teams to ensure fully integrated design solutions.
- Lead electrical discipline coordination within BIM processes and support the resolution of multidisciplinary design clashes and MEP interface issues.
- Review power demand requirements, cable routing strategies, transformer and panel locations, equipment access clearances, and system integration to ensure safe, efficient, and maintainable design solutions.
- Propose value engineering solutions to optimize cost, performance, sustainability, energy efficiency, and operational efficiency.
- Identify technical risks related to power demand, routing constraints, system integration, constructability, coordination, and authority approvals, and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with utility providers and support authority approval processes related to electrical infrastructure, load requirements, permits, and technical submissions.
- Present technical solutions, design options, recommendations, and project risks to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree is considered an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical or MEP design, with proven experience on large-scale residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, retail, or infrastructure developments.
- Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, earthing and lightning protection, ELV systems, fire alarm systems, and emergency lighting.
- Experience with BIM processes and design coordination, including review of BIM models and coordination outputs.
- Ability to evaluate electrical systems from technical, operational, constructability, maintainability, and cost perspectives.
- Knowledge of smart building technologies, building management systems, and energy-efficient design solutions is considered an advantage.
- Strong coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with a confident and solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent English communication skills.
