PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Morava Corridor Motorway Project is new dual-carriageway transport and communications link in the heart of Serbia. The route will weave through the scenic low-level flood plain and valleys of the Morava River as it connects Pojate through the industrial hub of Kruševac on the way to Preljina (near Čačak). This 112 km motorway will modernize the infrastructure links in central Serbia and will facilitate economic growth by linking communities and businesses in the industrial city of Kruševac with the regional commercial centers of nearby countries. The Morava Corridor Project is part of the comprehensive road network envisaged by the South-East European Transport Organization (SEETO) connecting Bulgaria and the Adriatic coast.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Electrical engineer is to be assigned to the project utility relocation team in engineering department to serve as a link between specialty sub-contractors, designers, Employer, Engineer and Utility Owners and other members of the project team. Ensures electrical design and delivery of all low-medium and how voltage electrical relocation works are coordinated with project requirements and local law, procedures and regulations. Manages sub-contractors to facilitate electrical relocations where required. Supervising of utility relocation works on site.
Managing the relations with supervising Engineer, Employer and Specialty subcontractors.
Monitors installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings and specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Participates in meetings with project team members, local and national utility owners, Engineer’s and Employer’s personnel, as required.
- Follows design development of utility relocations and, where possible, suggests economical construction details to be incorporated into designs.
- Coordinates with Engineer to track progress of Employer managed utility relocations and coordinates with construction delivery teams to identify measure for special expediting of potentially late items which could jeopardize the schedule.
- Participates in overall construction plans and construction sequencing, with regard to utility relocations.
- Maintains awareness of any major quantity and schedule changes due to design evolution or scope change. Verifies that scope, design documents and schedules of utility relocations works are coordinated.
- Works closely with the Engineer, Employer and Utility Owners and coordinates efforts and activities to meet the project requirements. Participates in the resolution of problems, where instructed to do so.
- Verifies the completion of all electrical relocations and design works, and ensures they are in accordance with Contract, laws and regulations.
- Communicates directly with the field and office project team members regarding significant problem areas and solutions.
- Participates in the preparation of tender packages and schedules.
- Prepare/review the measurement books and prepare the interim payments certificates in accordance with the established project procedures.
- Leads coordination and cooperation with utility owners during Construction, for new connections or changes and remedials measures to existing services.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Serbian native speaker with proven written and verbal fluency in English;
- University degree of Electrical engineering
- 2 years’ experience in low-medium-high voltage lines

Morava Corridor Motorway Project developed by the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure (MoCTI) and located in the West Morava Region of Serbia, is approximately a 112 km length alignment and connects the country from Preljina to Pojate. Construction of the Project will be conducted by Bechtel ENKA UK Limited.
