Dear Candidate!

This is not a standard job advertisement: we are looking for the Captain for our vessel "Elettrorapido"(https://foundation.elettrorapido.com/) an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER willing to become an ENTREPRENEUR.

What is Elettrorapido?

It is a powerful software suite for professionals dealing with Electrical Systems.

It covers everything from designing electrical schematics and switchboards to managing business operations and field data entry through a smartphone app.

- currently available in Italian and English, ready to be (automatically) translated into Serbian and other languages
- 400 businesses in Italy rely on it and do not want to replace it
- at least €200,000/year in revenue from basic support services alone

Why are we looking for a new captain?

- the huge Elettrorapido software code-base needs to be documented, renovated, upgraded and managed with modern AI-assisted development tools, rather than by old styled technicians.
- Elettrorapido (according to our "dreamers") would perfectly fit in the EU scenario as an Open Software System. 
- the prospect of achieving a turnover of several million euros would not seem far-fetched if the business were led by a motivated and innovative person.

Which are the captain's required characteristics?

- being a thinking mind looking ahead, to the future with a strong sense of enterprise.
- knowing how to use AI agents -like Claude Code- proficiently. These tools enable a single developer to maintain, modernize and grow a product of Elettrorapido's complexity more efficiently than a large team of once upon a time.
- being familiar with "C" programming language.
- having a fair knowledge of Power Electrical Systems, Physics and Math. Mastering the basics of Economics would represent an advantage.

What we are offering

- candidates start by getting into the code and understanding the product. Over time, they take responsibility for Elettrorapido and can gradually expand the team, explore new markets and become "the captain"!
- the owners of Elettrorapido are prepared to support a transition that leads to business participation, partnership arrangements and ownership transfer.

The details

- Remote, contractor basis to start.
- Compensation will be aligned to the characteristics of the actual candidate and is open to discussion in any case.
