We're looking for a Finance Analyst to join one of our portfolio brands: a beloved, well-established D2C baby essentials brand with strong recognition across the US. The brand did $24M in revenue last year, split across Shopify/DTC, Amazon, and wholesale, and is profitable.

The Opportunity

You'll work directly with the brand's VP of Finance & Operations, owning the monthly close and the reporting that leadership uses to run the business. Three sales channels, a full P&L, and no layers between you and the decisions.

This is a build seat as much as a reporting one. The brand is growing toward $30M and the finance function is being built to carry it.

If you're an ambitious analyst who wants to understand how a profitable consumer brand actually works and contribute to growth, rather than produce reports nobody reads, this is the seat.

What You'll Do

• Own the monthly close. Run it to a fixed calendar and land it by the 7th, every month, without being chased.
• Reconcile revenue and fees across every channel. Shopify, Amazon, Faire, and the wholesale order system all settle differently. You'll make them agree.
• Build the monthly management pack. P&L by channel, margin analysis, cost trends, and the commentary that goes with it.
• Own the cash flow forecast. Keep it current and make it useful.
• Automate and centralise the reporting. Data sits across Shopify, QuickBooks Online, Amazon Seller Central, and the wholesale system. Build the pipelines that pull it together so the analysis takes minutes rather than days.
• Run analysis on real commercial questions. Channel profitability, software and OpEx spend, inventory positions, pricing and promotion performance.
• Support AP and AR, including finding and recovering under-billed wholesale revenue.
• Work with our external tax advisors and auditors on statutory reporting and audit requests.

Who You Are

• 1 to 3 years in an accounting or finance role, in practice or in industry. We'll make exceptions on years for someone exceptional.
• Fluent English, written and spoken. You'll be working daily with a UK-based manager and a US-based team, and you need to hold your own in both directions.
• Based in a timezone within roughly two hours of UK time.
• Excellent in Excel or Sheets. Lookups, pivots, and building things other people can actually use.
• Strong on the mechanics: general ledger, journals, accruals, reconciliations. You know what a clean close looks like.
• AI native. You use AI daily as a force multiplier: reconciling and cleaning data, drafting analysis, automating the repetitive parts of your own job. If your workflow looks the same as it did two years ago, this isn't the seat.
• A doer, not a delegator. This is a hands-on execution role.
• Precise. When something is out by $200, you chase it until you know why.
• Coachable, ambitious, and genuinely interested in the business rather than just the numbers.
• Comfortable working remotely with real autonomy.

Bonus points (not required):

• Part-qualified or studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or a local equivalent
• QuickBooks Online experience
• Ecommerce or consumer goods background, particularly Shopify or Amazon
• SQL, Python, or comparable tooling for pulling and joining data
• Multi-currency and multi-entity experience

Details

Full time, fully remote, engaged as an independent contractor with the brand's US entity. Compensation is competitive and set based on location and experience.
