SOLIDAR Suisse is a Swiss non-governmental organisation officially registered in Zurich. SOLIDAR Suisse currently has around 3.500 individual and 259 collective members. Since 1936, SOLIDAR Suisse has actively contributed to a socially, politically and economically fair society with the help of numerous projects in Switzerland and throughout the world. SOLIDAR Suisse supports people to build up a life in dignity and security and it helps to foster the possibilities of people and organizations to seize their social and political rights. As an institution SOLIDAR Suisse influences social and political processes that stand in connection with its engagement.The projects abroad focus on development aid, with a current engagement in 9 countries, mostly in South-eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa.

SOLIDAR Suisse is implementing programme ‘Trade Unions and Social Dialogue’. Within this programme, SOLIDAR Suisse is running a number of projects that are aimed at enhancing social dialogue. SOLIDAR Suisse’s partners are trade unions, local socio-economic councils and employers’ association in Serbia.

FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION OFFICER


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the relations between SOLIDAR Suisse - Office in Serbia and banks
  • Responsibility for the relations between SOLIDAR Suisse - Office in Serbia and relevant state institutions
  • Monitoring and taking account of all incomes and expenses related to SOLIDAR Suisse programme in Serbia
  • Monitor budget execution
  • Filing and archiving financial reports
  • Making financial reports in accordance with the donor requirements
  • Assisting in drafting budgets
  • Taking care of all financial books and records
  • Drafting contracts (author contracts, service contracts, etc.)
  • Calculating the salaries
  • Calculating the contracts’ contributions
  • Preparing the documentation for the audit
  • Taking part in office meetings


Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in development programmes or in NGOs
  • Experience in the administration of medium-sized and large programmes preferred
  • Experience in drafting the budgets, managing and monitoring the budget spending
  • Experience in working with donors
  • Knowledge of and experience in drafting the contracts.
  • Familiarity with Serbian regulations pertinent to NGOs in Serbia
  • Broad knowledge of trade unions and social dialogue issue in Serbia
  • Readiness to work flexible hours
  • Good communicational and interpersonal skills
  • Readiness to work in a team
  • Good command in English
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)

Please note that the engagement will be done in the form of a service contract.
