About the role

We are looking for a Finance & Controlling Coordinator to coordinate daily activities within the controlling team and actively participate in financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management support. This is a hands-on coordination role. The ideal candidate should be able to organize tasks, monitor deadlines, review the quality and accuracy of financial reports, and independently prepare more complex financial analyses and controlling overviews.

The role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, clear communication with stakeholders, and the ability to work with confidential financial and business data.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Belgrade.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the daily work of the financial controlling team
• Assign and follow up on tasks in line with priorities, deadlines, and team capacity
• Review the accuracy, completeness, and quality of financial analyses, reports, and controlling overviews
• Actively participate in the preparation of financial analyses, budgets, forecasts, cash flow overviews, and management reports
• Analyze revenues, expenses, costs, profitability, cash flow, and variances compared to planned values
• Consolidate financial data and reports prepared by team members
• Monitor budget realization, financial plans, and key financial indicators
• Prepare comments, conclusions, and explanations related to financial reports and analyses
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial data, reporting requirements, deadlines, and open issues
• Cooperate with accounting, finance, management, and other departments to collect, verify, and analyze financial data
• Work closely with external accounting partners and support the accuracy and completeness of financial documentation
• Support team members in daily work and participate in onboarding new team members into controlling processes
• Participate in improving controlling processes, reporting templates, tools, and internal procedures
• Support the preparation of data for internal reviews, audits, external checks, and compliance-related requests

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial controlling, financial analysis, accounting, audit, or a similar finance-related role
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field
• Experience in coordinating team activities, assigning tasks, mentoring colleagues, or reviewing the work of others
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and controlling processes
• Advanced MS Excel skills and strong ability to work with financial data
• Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, financial reporting tools, or BI tools
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical thinking, accuracy, organization, and responsibility
• Ability to communicate clearly with management, team members, accountants, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work with confidential financial and business information

• Experience in fintech, financial services, payment services, or an international business environment
• Experience working with external accounting firms and financial institutions
• Experience in process improvement, reporting standardization, or implementation of financial controls
• Previous experience in a senior controller, coordinator, or team lead support role
