This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores in Serbia. This is a hands-on operational role, ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive professional who enjoys working across purchasing, sales reconciliation, reporting, and financial control in a fast-paced retail environment. While the role is focused on local store operations in Serbia, the Finance Coordinator works in close coordination with and reports directly to the regional headquarters of Just Fun Balkans, ensuring alignment with group-wide financial standards and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the purchasing and invoice approval process, ensuring compliance with company procedures and timely processing of supplier documentation.
- Monitor payment processes, review payment proposals, and support the resolution of payment-related issues.
- Oversee daily sales, cash, and operational finance activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
- Monitor inventory performance, analyses stock variances, and support inventory control processes.
- Prepare financial and operational reports, KPI dashboards, and management analyses to support business decision-making.
- Act as the primary finance liaison between local operations, HQ Finance, and the external accounting provider, ensuring timely exchange of information and documentation.
- Support the implementation of Group finance policies, internal controls, process improvements, and audit activities.
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned by HQ Finance or the Country Manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or controlling (retail or FMCG experience is a plus).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and cash management.
- Familiarity with Serbian tax legislation and local financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with POS/cash reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision, or similar) is an advantage.
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and comfort working within an international team structure.
