What You'll Do

As an Accountant, you'll manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records and support timely reporting and compliance with Serbian accounting and tax requirements.

You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners, contributing to month-end processes, audits and financial analysis.

Your Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, including issuing sales invoices, allocating receipts from bank statements to customer accounts, reconciling balances and handling internal and external inquiries.
• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including recording and paying bills, liaising with suppliers and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to maintain effective asset control procedures.
• Maintain an accurate general ledger and ensure financial records comply with applicable accounting requirements and company policies.
• Investigate discrepancies and variances, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Complete month-end accounting and reporting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset accounting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions and balances.
• Support annual audits and regulatory compliance activities.
• Provide accounting support to internal and external stakeholders, including group reporting, tax compliance, budgeting and data analysis.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• At least three years of progressive experience in accounting or corporate finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices and financial controls.
• Proven hands-on experience with Serbian accounting and tax legislation, including statutory reporting.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate level of written and spoken English or higher.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• A flexible, responsible and proactive approach to work.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external partners.

Nice to Have

• A professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or a Serbian accounting license.
• Previous experience in the IT, gaming or FinTech industry.
• Industry knowledge of sports, gambling or cryptocurrencies.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets and Docs), Slack and Jira.
